Case dismissed
A brief moment of inattention can quickly lead to a criminal investigation - as seen in a recent case handled by our law firm. Our client was accused of fuel fraud after allegedly leaving a gas station without paying.
The result: A criminal investigation for suspected fraud under § 263 of the German Criminal Code (StGB). After early intervention and thorough clarification of the circumstances, we were able to demonstrate that this was merely a misunderstanding. As a result, the case was dismissed under § 170 (2) of the German Code of Criminal Procedure (StPO) - no sufficient suspicion, no further consequences for our client.
